Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking an RN for a travel Interventional Radiology assignment in Lake Forest, Illinois.

• Perform comprehensive pre‑procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post‑procedure care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
• Provide post‑procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
• Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

• One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

• PALS or ENPC certifications
• ACLS certification
• RCIS/RCES certification
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities – able to remain stationary, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend
• Interpersonal skills – professional and positive attitude with diverse personnel
• Technical/motor skills – fine manipulation, push/pull, assistance during procedures with equipment
• Mental requirements – cope with public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, handle irregular schedules
