Public Safety Officer; Part Time

Public Safety Officer (Part Time) – Posted November 19, 2025

• Respond to calls for assistance including emergency and crisis situations
• Provide support during special events
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of the campus
• Enforce college policy
• Enforce state laws and local ordinances on campus (limited enforcement)
• Enforce parking regulations
• Complete incident documentation properly
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a commander or director
• Work the evening shift; department operates 24/7

• High school diploma or GED and minimum of two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous related security/law enforcement experience preferred
• Previous campus public safety experience strongly preferred
• Sound judgment and excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Valid U.S. driver's license with an excellent driving record
• Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
• Will work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
