This is a full-time, on/off‑site Laborer role based in New Richmond WI. The Laborer supports underground and aerial utility construction projects by performing tasks such as site preparation, trenching, back filling, and material handling. Daily responsibilities include operating basic hand tools and small equipment under supervision, loading and unloading materials, and assisting crews with the installation and maintenance of telecom infrastructure. The Laborer helps maintain a clean and organized job site, follows safety procedures and company policies, and may assist with traffic control or work zone setup as needed.
The role requires working outdoors in varying weather and soil conditions and collaborating closely with crew members and supervisors.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions.
- Basic skills in using hand tools and small construction equipment, with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in construction, utility, or telecom work; prior experience in construction or field labor is beneficial.
- Commitment to safety, including following safety instructions, using personal protective equipment, and maintaining awareness of job site hazards.
- Reliable work habits, punctuality, and the ability to work as part of a team under the direction of a foreperson or supervisor.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally to job sites as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional vocational training or certifications in construction or utility work are a plus.
