This position performs all duties and tasks that assists members and guests with: tee times (reservations and check-in), merchandise, and information while providing unparalleled professional customer service.
Education / Experience- Computer knowledge/usage
- Some knowledge of the game of golf is expected
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Offer friendly and professional customer service to all public patrons, members and guests
- Use the point of sale and Tee Sheet system to: check-in golfers, sell merchandise and make/check tee times
- Ensure that financial controls are followed and accounted for at the close of each shift
- Assist in tournament, event and outing preparations
- Assist with inventory operations: checking-in, displaying and counting
- Communicate with starters, course assistants and player services to create an exceptional guest/member experience
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
- Be informed on Inn and Suite procedures, and promote all public and member events, activities and services
- Uphold the company’s policies and procedures when dealing with customers and members
- Perform any and all duties assigned by the Resort Head Professional
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel needs.
- Communicating pertinent information with all departments in a timely manner
- Assisting professionals, player services and assistants with operations when necessary
- Interact verbally with guests, members and staff
- Answering phone calls and questions
- Occasional lifting
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to apply customer service skills
- Ability to solve guest issues/problems
- Ability to anticipate guest/member needs
