Schedule
: 40 hours/Week
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Range for Traveler: $2,700.00- $2,766.00 Weekly DOE
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to be responsible for the preparation and administration of radioactive drugs. Nuclear medicine technologist's responsibilities include operating imaging equipment and ensuring the safety of all medical staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures, ensuring requirements are met
- Provide clear instructions to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Apply Nuclear Medicine safety principles to minimize risk
- Operate nuclear medicine and associated imaging equipment
- Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results
- Immobilize patients as needed for accurate examinations
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes with correct dosing
- Assist with medical records and image sharing as needed
- Evaluate images for technical quality
- Report and document safety incidents or adverse events
- Process and manipulate digital imaging data for proper display
- Utilize PACS and radiology information systems
- Complete required documentation and submit images for physician review
- Verify patient identifiers and utilize proper communication scripting
- Document procedure details in the electronic medical record
- Provide discharge instructions to patients
- Assist with PET services as needed
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- Certification: CNMT or ARRT (N) required
- AHA BLS Certification required
