🔬 Clinical Focus & Responsibilities
High Complexity Generalist:
Perform testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank. You must be qualified under CLIA 493.1489 standards for high-complexity testing.

Blood Bank & Hematology:
Mandatory proficiency is required for this role; you will perform cross matches and manual/automated hematology differentials.

Full-Cycle Lab Work:
Responsible for specimen collection (phlebotomy), processing, analyzing, and reporting critical results to clinicians.

Instrumentation:
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of lab equipment (Mercyhealth typically utilizes Sysmex for Hematology and Beckman Coulter or Ortho for Chemistry/Blood Bank).

Documentation:
Utilize the Epic Beaker LIS (Laboratory Information System) for resulting and quality control documentation.

📋 Mandatory Requirements
Certification: ASCP or AMT Generalist Certification (MLT/MLS) or a Specialty Certification (BB, C, H, or M).

Compliance:
Flu vaccination is required for all Mercyhealth partners.

Technical Skill:

Experience with manual differentials and troubleshooting quality control results is essential.
