In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and monitor treatment systems, collect and test water samples, and ensure plant equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment including pumps, motors, valves, filters, chemical feed systems, and control panels
- Collect water samples and perform routine laboratory tests (chlorine residual, pH, turbidity, etc.)
- Record operational data and maintain logs and reports
- Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes under supervision
- Inspect plant facilities and equipment to ensure proper operation
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations
- Comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Respond to emergency system issues and participate in on-call rotation
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years’ experience in utility plant operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possession of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade I Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification at hire
- Valid Driver's license of the appropriate class
The selected candidate who does not possess the required certification will be considered a trainee at the time of hire.
