Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Candidates

Schedule:

5x8, Days (630a-3p), Monday-Friday, Rotating Call (Average 4-6 per month)

More about our team

The OR-Surgery Department has 10 ORs with service lines that include Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, Neuro and Podiatry. Our team supports Ortho procedures for 5 days a week in 2 to 3 rooms per day, Neuro for 3 to 4 days a week, Cysto for 2 days a week, and the Da Vinci Xi robot for 5 days a week.

Our team also staffs c-sections, performed with the OR, and OB for 1 to 2 days a week.

How you'll contribute

A OR/Surgery (RN) who excels in this role:

  • The RN performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement, and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year ICU experience preferred
  • Certification:
    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire
  • Certification:
    Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire (unless employee already has ACLS)
  • Handle with care required within 30 days of orientation and annually thereafter
  • Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire.
  • Certification: TNCC required within 6 months of hire
  • Certification: PALS required within 1 year of hire
