Job Summary

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

Job Duties
  • Reports to the Division Chair of Business Administration and Computer Technology
  • Teaches Industrial Management classes in the Bachelor’s of Applied Technology program using traditional and alternative delivery methods (CCPI)

College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires either: a Master’s degree with a major in management + degree or certification or work experience in an industrial area OR a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in management + degree or certification or work experience in an industrial area from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations
  • Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
  • Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
Desirable Qualifications
  • Business/industry experience preferred
  • Teaching experience preferred
