Brazosport College, a two‑time Top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and Achieving the Dream Leader College, seeks a dynamic and innovative Computer Technology Faculty member for a nine‑month, non‑tenure track position.
Reports to the Dean, Business, Technology and Online Programs.

• Prepares curriculum, including writing syllabi, developing new courses, selecting textbooks, etc.
• Develops and teaches computer technology classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods.
• Assists in the advisement of students.
• Serves on various assigned college committees.
• Summer teaching opportunities as enrollment dictates.
• Supports the college’s student success initiatives.

• Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System Technology, Cybersecurity & AI, Management Information Systems, or a closely related area from a regionally accredited college plus 18 graduate credit hours in one of the fields above; interest in alternative instructional delivery methods; demonstrated ability in working with a culturally diverse population; excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in reading, writing, and explaining code;
  
  exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met; teaching experience in Computer Science and Technology, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, AI, or Business Data Analytics at the community college level.
• Desirable Qualifications include Doctoral Degree in a related area from a regionally accredited college; three (3) years of non‑teaching, wage‑earning experience in a computer field; teaching experience in the above areas at the community college level.

Nine‑month, non‑tenure track position; salary follows approved salary structure; commensurate with education and experience; summer teaching available as needed; excellent fringe benefits.
