Senior Flexera Data Platform Engineer (Technical Lead)
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Flexera Data Platform Engineer (Technical Lead) to join one of our largest financial services clients. This individual will serve as the owner and technical lead for the organization's Flexera Data Platform, ensuring the platform remains optimized, reliable, and aligned with enterprise asset management objectives. On a daily basis, they will manage and support the platform, troubleshoot complex issues, partner with Flexera and other third-party vendors, and drive continuous improvements to platform performance and usability.
The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, engineering, and data teams to maintain high-quality asset data, strengthen governance processes, and support compliance and audit readiness efforts. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining SQL-based solutions, creating dashboards and executive reporting, and identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI-driven technologies to improve operational efficiency. They will help drive software and hardware asset lifecycle initiatives, contribute to data governance and modernization efforts, and play a key role in shaping the long-term roadmap for the platform while ensuring scalable, accurate, and actionable asset intelligence across the organization.
Required
Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, SQL development, and large-scale data management
- Deep understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes across software and hardware assets
- Experience in AI-paired development
- Experience managing asset lifecycle governance, data quality, compliance, and audit requirements
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, configure, optimize, and support third-party platforms, including direct vendor engagement
- Experience building dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and executive-level reporting
- Experience working in Agile environments utilizing tools such as JIRA and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner across engineering, infrastructure, and data teams
- Experience supporting data governance initiatives within regulated environments
- Technical lead or platform ownership experience
- Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure asset management
