Job Description

Copia is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating and leading a contract team responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes, while driving continuous improvement in accounting operations. This role has a strong preference for experience in Net Suite.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Manager, Corporate Finance in an individual contributor capacity.

We are partnering with select search firms for this role and are not accepting inquiries or candidates from additional third‑party agencies or recruiters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the general ledger team and oversee daily accounting operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on technical accounting issues and special projects
  • Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years professional experience in accounting, including experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Experience in Net Suite, highly preferred and other accounting ERP platforms.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, UT or Lake Oswego, OR office a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
