Our client is an energy transition company focused on developing, constructing, and owning large scale renewable generation, storage, and data center infrastructure assets. The organization is backed by a major global investment firm.
Role OverviewOur client is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to support financial reporting and general ledger accounting, including consolidations and eliminations, within a multiple entity organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, including preparation of GAAP basis financial statements
- Support the consolidations process, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and tie outs across a complex legal entity structure
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entry preparation and review
- Assist in financial statement audit preparation and manage audit deliverables
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on technical accounting issues and special projects
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written correspondence
- Highly driven with problem solving abilities, integrity, and strong work ethic
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work effectively within a rapidly changing organization
- Demonstrated collaborative partnerships with peers, management, and vendors
- Resourcefulness and polite persistence
- Two plus years of professional experience in accounting, experience in the renewable energy industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA license preferred
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting ERP platforms, Net Suite preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25%
