Role Description The Administrative Design Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Oswego, OR. This position supports the design team with administrative and coordination tasks, including organizing project files, preparing design documentation, and maintaining material and finish schedules. The role involves assisting with interior and exterior selections, updating design boards and catalogs, and communicating with vendors to source samples and product information.
The Administrative Design Assistant also helps schedule meetings, track project timelines, and ensure accurate data entry in design and project management systems. Collaboration with designers, construction teams, and sales staff is key to maintaining consistency in design standards and delivering a smooth experience for home buyers.
Qualifications
- Possess strong organizational and administrative skills, including document management, scheduling, and task prioritization.
- Demonstrate foundational design support abilities, such as assisting with material selections, maintaining design boards, and preparing basic design presentations.
- Have solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, construction teams, vendors, and clients.
- Show proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace) and the ability to learn design and project management tools.
- Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and quality control of design-related information.
- Previous experience in residential construction, interior design, or a related field is beneficial.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, business, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Lake Oswego, OR, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional conduct in a fast-paced environment.
