Position Summary

A Kid Strong Coach is the heartbeat of the center. This role requires the ability to lead high-energy, physically intensive classes for children ages 15 months to 11 years
, follow a structured curriculum, support families, maintain operational standards, and deliver an exceptional member experience.

Coaches must demonstrate consistent professionalism, safety awareness, strong communication skills, high physical stamina, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, camps, and special events as required.

Essential Job Functions (All Required)
  • Coaching & Curriculum Execution:
    Deliver Kid Strong’s brain, physical, and character development curriculum for all age groups (15 months–11 years). Maintain high energy, motivation, and clear communication. Understand and articulate the “why” behind curriculum elements to parents and children. Ensure classes start and end on time and follow correct pacing. Demonstrate proper movement patterns, physical techniques, and developmental activities. Provide hands‑on physical guidance for safety and form.

    Record attendance, awards, and progress data in the Kid Strong Coaches App accurately and timely.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Walk/jog multiple miles per shift while moving around the training floor; frequently lift, carry or move equipment up to 25–50 lbs; bend, squat, kneel, rotate, jump, and move dynamically for extended periods; physically assist children and maintain energy and communication.
  • Class Management & Safety:
    Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard‑free training floor; actively supervise 15–30 children; ensure proper spacing and safety practices; respond to injuries or incidents per training and CPR/AED certification.
  • Parent & Family Communication:
    Engage positively with parents; communicate progress, milestones, or concerns; represent Kid Strong values.
  • Center Operations & Facility Maintenance:
    Complete pre‑shift and post‑shift duties, follow cleaning protocols, assist with birthday parties, community events, and camps; support front‑desk operations; maintain Slack communication.
  • Reliability & Professional Conduct:
    Arrive on time, in uniform, prepared; work required evenings and weekends; attend staff meetings and trainings; maintain certifications; demonstrate teamwork, coach‑able mindset.

Qualifications (All Required Unless Noted)
  • 1+ year coaching/teaching experience or equivalent child‑facing experience.
  • Strong communication and public‑speaking skills.
  • Ability to lead large groups of children confidently.
  • CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and camps.
  • Ability to complete and maintain Kid Strong Coach Certification.
  • Proficiency in technology platforms (Slack, Kid Strong apps, basic mobile tools).
  • Consistently meet physical demands described above.
Work Environment
  • High‑energy, fast‑paced, physically intensive class environment.
  • Moderate noise levels with music, children, and activity.
  • Frequent interaction with children, parents, and staff.
  • Standing/walking for up to 4–8 hours per shift with minimal breaks.
Additional Requirements

This job description represents the full and essential duties required of a Kid Strong Coach. All duties must be performed reliably, consistently, and without causing undue hardship to center operations.

Compensation: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour

Kid Strong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages from walking to 11 years old. Kid Strong offers a science‑based curriculum that is parent‑focused and taught by professionals.
