Schedule Engineer II
The Schedule Engineer II prepares and maintains project schedules in accordance with Hoffman and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves schedule development, baseline maintenance, updates, reporting, documentation, and schedule quality. The Schedule Engineer II reports directly to the Schedule Lead or Schedule Manager and works closely with many members of the construction team, including superintendents, engineers, construction managers, and project managers.
LocationFully onsite at our office located in Lake Oswego, OR.
Salary$80,000 - $100,000 DOE.
Responsibilities- Prepare summary and detail level schedules in Primavera P6.
- Develop CPM baseline schedules.
- Perform progress updates.
- Produce lookahead schedules.
- Monitor and track progress against baselines, including creating change comparison reports.
- Ensure adherence to scheduling standards.
- Develop & update cost or resource-loaded schedules as required.
- Occasionally support business development or marketing activities and presentations as necessary.
- Use key software packages used in scheduling & construction management, including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and others as required by the project.
- Use key templates, tools, and platforms to execute scheduling work and reports.
- Provide training in the use of project scheduling software & tools to office & jobsite staff.
- Summarize reports, KPIs, and schedule metrics.
- Facilitate schedule meetings, including lookahead reviews, WIP audits, live updates, critical path reviews, planning sessions, and report-outs.
- Work with other departments and/or entities to integrate plans into the master schedule (procurement, engineering, BIM, commissioning, design, subcontractors).
- Education:
4‑yr degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering. - Experience:
4+ years field scheduling experience; project engineering and/or field experience is a plus. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with key software packages:
Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices.
- Main office, project office, trailer.
- May be required to attend meetings at or on the jobsite.
