Overview

Location: This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working from one of the following locations: 5800 SW Meadows Rd, Suite 300 Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035 OR 5820 Owes Dr Pleasanton, CA 94588.

Department Details Kaiser Permanente Enterprise Testing Services (KP ETS) is a shared service organization of IT Program Management Office (IT PMO) & Software Testing Engineering providing Test Automation, Performance Engineering, Test Data Management, and Test Environment Coordination services.

Internship Projects

API and application integration monitoring using Dynatrace, Python and Power BI. Develop and enhance dashboards and reports using Microsoft technologies and Power BI for reporting and analytics.

Target Skillset
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and APIs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and Power BI for reporting and analytics
  • Foundational understanding of AI and applied analytics concepts
  • Working knowledge of Bash, Power Shell, and Python scripting to support environment health checks, log analysis, and service status validation
  • Experience or exposure to environment monitoring and issue identification, including tools such as Dynatrace for problem detection, metrics, and alerts
  • Basic familiarity with Dynatrace APIs, including querying problems, metrics, and entities using API tokens

Essential Responsibilities
  • Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
Education
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program from an accredited university within the last year.
Additional Requirements
  • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
