Trimble is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our globally diverse team helping develop and support our FedRAMP PaaS portfolio. What Makes This Role Great:
In this role, you will directly drive the security posture, operational excellence, and architectural scalability of critical public cloud services across high-stakes AWS Gov Cloud environments while collaborating with a high-performing international team.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
- Configure, optimize, and support public cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
- Enhance shared cloud services with a focus on availability, performance, security, capacity, and user experience.
- Manage security posture, adherence to corporate best practices, and FedRAMP guidelines.
- Drive effective application operations, established monitoring, and incident response workflows alongside development teams.
- Maintain essential operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and service descriptions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
- System administration experience and scripting abilities in Python, Power Shell, Bash, or Perl.
- Practical understanding of IT operations, including networking, computing, storage, and incident management.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with container platforms like Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS. Working knowledge of CI/CD and development tooling including Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Exposure to operations and monitoring tools like Grafana, Sumo Logic, or PRTG.
