Senior Litigation Specialist

Dext Capital is a national financial services company providing flexible financing solutions across the United States. We are seeking a Senior Litigation Specialist to join our in-house legal team. This is a senior role focused on managing complex litigation and bankruptcy matters and serving as a designated corporate witness. The position reports directly to Corporate Counsel and operates with a high degree of autonomy, including direct interaction with outside counsel and authority over routine litigation decisions.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with large‑exposure litigation and workouts in financial services or equipment finance and is comfortable managing matters from escalation through resolution.

This position is based in Portland, Oregon, but may be performed remotely. Travel is required for depositions, court appearances, and testimony.

• Manage litigation and bankruptcy matters from initiation through resolution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with outside litigation counsel, including directing procedural activity.
• Approve routine filings, extensions, and discovery responses within delegated authority.
• Track deadlines, court requirements, and case milestones to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and organize pleadings, discovery materials, exhibits, affidavits, and hearing or trial support materials.
• Evaluate escalated or disputed accounts and recommend litigation strategy, workouts, and loss‑mitigation options.
• Recommend settlement ranges, coordinate settlement negotiations, and trigger litigation escalation when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate litigation and bankruptcy records in internal systems, including Salesforce or similar platforms.
• Act as a corporate witness for Dext Capital, including routinely sitting for depositions and appearing in court as needed.
• Prepare testimony and supporting documentation in coordination with in‑house and outside counsel.

• Strong judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 3+ years of experience managing large‑exposure litigation and workout matters.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating closely with outside counsel.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM or case‑management systems.
• Experience with bankruptcy and creditor enforcement matters strongly preferred.
• Background in financial services or equipment finance highly preferred.

The Pay Range For This Role Is 75,000 - 90,000 USD per year (United States).
