Part-Time Retail Associate

Start Date:

Wage: $18.35 per hour

• Provide exceptional, world‑class sales and customer service by selling Deseret Book products and services.
• Assist customers with cash register operations, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift wrapping.
• Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and aiding in merchandise presentation.
• Work various shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).

• Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good product knowledge preferred.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Good team skills and self‑motivation.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
• Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
• Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35–50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
