- Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventive maintenance of life‑safety product lines, including electrical, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
- Accurately discern and document deficiencies identified during inspections.
- Complete service acknowledgements and inspection reports with proper coding on devices such as laptops, smartphones, and hardcopy.
- Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
- Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
- Complete assigned inspections on time.
- Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
- Assist foreman with the installation of wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
- Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment.
- 2+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
- Ability to obtain and retain required licenses under national, state, and local codes.
- Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, fire pump, and foam systems.
- Experience interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational manuals.
- Experience using hand tools and a multi‑meter.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment up to 70lbs and work at heights up to 40ft, within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
- Flexibility to work on‑call rotations, nights, and weekends.
- Strong customer‑service orientation.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
- NICET II certification
- Backflow Assembly certification
Hourly range: $23‑38 (rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities).
The posted rate reflects the target compensation for this role. Exceptional candidates with unique skills may receive higher compensation.
