Job Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, suppression life safety product lines and similar manufacturer product lines.
- Test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customer base.
- Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
- Complete service acknowledgments with proper coding through communication devices such as laptops or hard copy.
- Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
- Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents via mobile device.
- Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Perform work in unusual or difficult positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment).
- Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
- Installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment.
- Self‑starter; capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Capable of performing physical labor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Obtain NICET I certification within 1 year of employment.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, smartphone proficiency).
Hourly rate: $22–35 (depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
