AboutThe Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing primary and secondary nursing care to our residents under the supervision of a registered nurse
- administering medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by physicians
- monitoring resident vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- performing various medical procedures, such as vital sign checks, wound care, and catheter care
- documenting resident care and progress in accordance with facility policies
- collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care to our residents, including:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring and reporting vital signs and changes
- Performing various medical procedures
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of resident care
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists
- Participate in pre-shift reports and multidisciplinary care conferences to ensure comprehensive care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices through ongoing education and training
- Current LPN license in the state of Florida
- High school diploma or equivalent required; LPN diploma or degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse; experience in long-term care or sub-acute settings preferred
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with assistance
