A Bit About UsAn established trailer sales and service operation is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead day‑to‑day shop operations. This role is hands‑on and supervisory, responsible for overseeing technicians, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality repairs, and maintaining a safe and productive shop environment.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise shop technicians and mechanics on daily repair and fabrication work.
- Assign, prioritize, and track work orders to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
- Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of trailers and related equipment.
- Ensure all repairs and installations meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate parts ordering and inventory to support shop operations.
- Communicate timelines and job status with internal teams and customers as needed.
- Train, mentor, and support technicians to maintain strong performance and accountability.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and shop records.
- Enforce shop safety procedures and company policies.
- 5+ years of experience in trailer repair, heavy equipment, or related mechanical environments.
- Prior experience in a lead technician, foreman, or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with trailer systems including brakes, axles, suspension, and structural components.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Electrical wiring and lighting systems.
- Ability to manage people, workflow, and priorities in a fast‑paced shop.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
