Shop Foreman
Salary: $30 - $40 per hour
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

An established trailer sales and service operation is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead day‑to‑day shop operations. This role is hands‑on and supervisory, responsible for overseeing technicians, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality repairs, and maintaining a safe and productive shop environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise shop technicians and mechanics on daily repair and fabrication work
- Assign, prioritize, and track work orders to meet deadlines and productivity goals
- Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of trailers and related equipment
- Ensure all repairs and installations meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Coordinate parts ordering and inventory to support shop operations
- Communicate timelines and job status with internal teams and customers as needed
- Train, mentor, and support technicians to maintain strong performance and accountability
- Maintain accurate service documentation and shop records
- Enforce shop safety procedures and company policies
- 5+ years of experience in trailer repair, heavy equipment, or related mechanical environments
- Prior experience in a lead technician, foreman, or supervisory role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with trailer systems including: brakes, axles, suspension, and structural components, welding and fabrication, electrical wiring and lighting systems
- Ability to manage people, workflow, and priorities in a fast‑paced shop
- Strong communication and organizational skills
