• At least 19 years of age
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with children who speak different languages
• Professional Educator License with Stipulations for ELS (PARA) or substitute (SUB)
• Fluent in English and Polish (speaking, reading, and writing) required
• Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
• Proficient with web-based search engines and best practices in conducting searches
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
• Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong orientation toward providing customer service
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students

Polish-Speaking Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional

Hourly rate ranges from $21.42 to $22.30 based on experience and education per ESP Salary Schedule Appendix B (Instructional Assistants - Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional) in the District 108. Negotiated Agreement. This is a benefits-eligible position, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
