- Experience with children who speak different languages
- Professional Educator License with Stipulations for ELS (PARA) or substitute (SUB)
- Fluent in English and Polish (speaking, reading, and writing) required
- Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications
- Proficient with web-based search engines and best practices in conducting searches
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong orientation toward providing customer service
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students
Polish-Speaking Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional
Salary & BenefitsHourly rate ranges from $21.42 to $22.30 based on experience and education per ESP Salary Schedule Appendix B (Instructional Assistants - Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional) in the District 108. Negotiated Agreement. This is a benefits-eligible position, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
