Driver – Pediatric Medical Transportation

Job SummaryTender Care Medical Services is seeking safe, reliable, and professional Drivers to transport medically fragile children to and from our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers. This role is responsible for ensuring safe transportation, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and providing a positive and supportive experience for patients and families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely transport pediatric patients to and from PPEC centers using company vehicles
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility for daily adjustments
- Ensure all passengers are secured using appropriate safety restraints and equipment
- Assist with loading and unloading patients as needed
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Communicate delays, incidents, or route changes to dispatch or leadership immediately
- Follow all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Complete transportation logs and required documentation accurately and timely
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to bend, push, pull, and assist with patient mobility as needed
- Ability to enter and exit vehicle frequently throughout shift
- High school diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Licensed in the state of FL for a minimum of 2 years
- DOT Medical Certificate
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Passenger Endorsement (HACK License)
- Previous experience driving professionally (medical transport, school bus, childcare transport, etc.)
- Experience working with children or special needs populations
