Automation Engineer

Seeking a Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience in Automotive Testing skilled in API, Microservices, Rest Assured Testing, Cloud testing, and Selenium Java Testing to drive quality assurance initiatives.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of automotive software applications. Design and implement automated test frameworks using Selenium with Java for UI testing. Develop and execute API and microservices test cases using Rest Assured to validate backend services. Perform cloud testing to verify application performance and scalability in cloud environments. Analyze test results and work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects.

Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to integrate automated tests. Maintain and enhance existing test automation suites to improve coverage and efficiency. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in automotive software testing.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API microservices and UI testing using Rest Assured and Selenium Java.
• Execute cloud‑based testing scenarios to validate application behavior under various conditions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and other QA engineers to define test strategies and plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects and work with stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Lead efforts to improve automation frameworks and testing processes within the automotive testing domain.
• Stay updated with emerging testing tools and technologies relevant to API, cloud, and UI testing.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices in test automation and quality assurance.

• 5–7 years of experience in automotive testing.
• Test automation using the Karate Framework for API and integration testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Test Rail for test case management, test planning, execution, tracking, and defect reporting.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with understanding of cloud‑based application testing environment validation and CI/CD integrations.
• Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate closely with Dev Ops and development teams.
• Experience with Selenium Java for UI testing.
• Experience with Rest Assured for API testing, Playwright Java testing, Appium Java testing, SQL & database testing, user acceptance testing.
