Special Education Paraprofessional

Provide educational and therapeutic services to students in special education within a small class, self-contained therapeutic day school. Under direct supervision of teaching staff, assist with instruction and classroom management to ensure a quality learning environment for the students. Under the direct supervision of the Unit Coordinator, implement individual and group programming on the units during non‑school days.

• High School Diploma Required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Eligible for Paraprofessional License or Substitute Teacher License

On‑site training: 6‑month mentor program and ongoing training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), the REStArT treatment model, and trauma‑informed classrooms.

Allendale's Specialized Educational Services Program is designed to help students advance academic skills, build confidence and independence, and achieve personal goals through individualized K‑12 therapeutic day school. The school emphasizes education and treatment that is youth‑centered and family‑centered, with an emphasis on student interests and adaptive skills.

Annual Base Salary: $33,280.00
