Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Valid state Special Education Teacher certification
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience adapting curriculum and instruction for students with disabilities
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers and support staff
• Dedication to individualized instruction and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Assess student abilities and progress using a variety of formal and informal methods
• Adapt lessons, materials, and assessments as needed to accommodate a range of learning styles
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy
• Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and other professional obligations required for special education service delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation of student achievement, behavior, and progress toward goals
