Position: Salesperson (Central FL)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Salesperson responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships and driving revenue growth through the sale of fine aggregate products. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and working closely with operations to ensure customer satisfaction, contract compliance, and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Actively Promote E.R. Jahna’s Core Standards of Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SPQDC).
  • Use the well-established Jahna DDS (Daily Directional Setting) Meetings along with the fundamentals of our SPQDC culture to manage all aspects of the daily business.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, utilize safe working practices, and ensure all safety notification & reporting processes are in place.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, leadership, and support to ensure the development of a high-performance team while managing personnel issues.
  • Develop action plans and measures to meet and/or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Manage personnel issues to include hiring, training, development, morale, and terminations.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the workforce (Hourly, Plant, Area, and Senior Management) to achieve organizational goals.
  • Work ethically, practice good business judgment, and conform to all state and federal laws as well as follow and enforce all E.R. Jahna’s standards and policies.

Key

Job Duties
  • Conduct regular sales calls and site visits with existing and prospective customers to ensure service expectations are met and to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, activities, and account information within the CRM system.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, issues, or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Develop new business by leveraging existing relationships, generating qualified leads, and conducting cold outreach as appropriate.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of customer segments and proactively identify new markets, applications, and opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to manage overlapping territories, transfer leads, and ensure coordinated account coverage.
  • Communicate pricing, product availability, and value propositions in alignment with the overall sales strategy established by the VP of Sales & Marketing.
  • Coordinate and deliver product or material samples to customers as required to support sales efforts.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and facilitate communication between customers and the Quality Control department as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of concrete products, materials, and applications, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Actively participate in relevant industry associations, events, and networking opportunities to build relationships and market presence.
  • Monitor market activity and upcoming bid opportunities through industry publications, news, advertisements, and other media sources.
  • Prepare, distribute, and follow up on professional bids, proposals, and pricing documents across multiple market segments.
  • Support the customer onboarding and acquisition process, including credit applications, insurance documentation, account setup, and purchase order coordination.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries for management review in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivables and assist with collections efforts in accordance with company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with co-workers, customers, and vendors (verbal and written)
  • Ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers
  • Ability to remain organized and flexible while managing multiple projects/tasks
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and commitments effectively
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
