Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Tenens Assignment
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a busy, well‑supported Emergency Department. This assignment offers a stable block of shifts, a manageable patient load, and a collaborative clinical environment with both physician and APP coverage.
Assignment Details- Shifts Needed: 15
- ED Beds: 14
- Annual Volume: ~26,000
- Coverage Model: 24‑hour physician coverage; 12‑hour APP coverage
- Clinical Responsibilities: Full‑scope Emergency Medicine;
Respond to Rapid Response and Code situations - EMR: Cerner
These items must be active and in hand for presentation:
- Active state medical license
- Board Certification (ABEM/AOBEM or accepted equivalent per facility)
- Active DEA for the state of assignment
- CSR (if required by state)
- Board‑certified Emergency Medicine physician
- Comfortable working in a moderate‑volume ED with mixed acuity
- Able to collaborate effectively with APPs and hospital staff
- Reliable, adaptable, and ready to step into an established schedule
