Overview
PLANT MANAGER at MANN+HUMMEL. You will provide leadership and strategic direction, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance within a single plant.
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all activities within the plant including production, quality, logistics, technical service, HSE and maintenance, and contributes to the functional strategy.
Responsibilities- Strategic Vision and Planning: develop and articulate a compelling vision aligned with long-term strategic goals; formulate and implement comprehensive business plans for sustainable growth and competitive advantage; understand and execute functional strategies for all PSOs.
- Leadership Development: build a leadership pipeline, identify and develop high-potential individuals; implement leadership training programs to enhance managerial skills and foster continuous learning.
- Team Empowerment and Engagement: empower teams with clear direction, foster collaboration, and encourage ownership of responsibilities; drive employee engagement initiatives to improve job satisfaction and productivity.
- Organizational Culture: model a positive culture that aligns with values, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion; instill pride and purpose to motivate employees.
- Change Management: lead change initiatives with agility and resilience; champion innovation and adaptability in response to market dynamics.
- Stakeholder Relations: build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and investors; represent the organization externally as a thought leader and ambassador for mission and values.
- Risk Management:
identify and mitigate risks; foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior. - Plant Management: establish operating budget, approve investments, monitor cost and effectiveness of production activities; drive continuous improvement to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost benchmarks; sustain quality management systems and implement QA procedures; ensure efficient logistics operations; ensure proper maintenance of technical equipment; ensure compliance with regulatory HSE standards; organize, staff and direct the area of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Business Administration, Economics, Sciences, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing plant management; experience leading cross-functional projects and diverse teams; strong background in continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, pull flow).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001; risk management; environmental health & safety; learning and development.
- Strong leadership competencies: achievement orientation, strategic drive, leading people, impact & influence, collaboration, organizational awareness, execution, adaptability and learning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills; willingness to stay updated with market trends.
