Position SummaryThe Lab Technician supports our client's Lab Operations team by keeping the workspace clean, safe, and efficient while assisting with the extraction process. This includes assisting fellow technicians with daily tasks, properly preparing raw materials, and executing extraction procedures in accordance with established protocols.
What You'll DoExtraction & Lab Support
- Assist with daily lab operations, including preparing equipment and materials for extraction.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extracting cannabinoids from raw cannabis materials.
- Prepare and handle raw materials with accurate measurements and safety compliance.
- Clean and maintain extraction equipment and lab instruments for optimal performance.
- Help calibrate and set up extraction machines as needed.
- Monitor and log extraction parameters, including temperature, pressure, and extraction time.
- Maintain accurate batch records, inventory logs, and quality control reports.
- Follow safety and compliance standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Follow safety protocols, including chemical handling, PPE usage, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
- Participate in required safety training sessions.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians to hit production targets, and pitch in during peak workloads or special projects.
- Bring ideas for process improvements, efficiency gains, or workflow optimization.

- Must be 21 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
- No prior lab experience required, though experience in a lab setting — especially cannabis extraction or a related field — is a strong plus.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a team-first mindset.
- Willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound decision-making and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment.
This role is based in a dispensary and/or cultivation environment, with occasional use of a computer, phone, or other office equipment. Expect exposure to dirt, fertilizers, dust, odors, fumes, high and low temperatures, humidity, noise, vibration, water, allergens, pollen, plant pathogens, and other environmental variables — sometimes with A/C, sometimes without. Schedule flexibility is important, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, along with strong self- and time-management skills to handle frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements- Remain in a stationary position roughly 80% of the time, while also moving freely and communicating clearly.
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted, and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Comfortably use manual transport equipment (pallet jack, hand truck).
- Use a ladder (up to 12' extension) and general hardware tools.
- Meet vision requirements including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
