Woodwinds Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Woodwinds Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach woodwind techniques, music theory, and ensemble skills to students of all ages and levels, helping them prepare for school performances, auditions, and personal goals. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, tracking student progress, and collaborating with store staff to support education programs.

The ideal candidate is a skilled woodwind player with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group woodwind lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop customized lesson plans focusing on technique, tone, and musicality
• Teach music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble skills as appropriate
• Prepare students for school band performances, auditions, and recitals
• Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
• Maintain a structured, positive, and safe learning environment in the store studio
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson scheduling and student enrollment
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials that support student learning
• Participate in recitals, clinics, and other educational events as needed
