Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach beginner to intermediate students on band, orchestra, or popular instruments, develop individualized lesson plans, track student progress, and prepare learners for recitals, auditions, and school performances. Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair needs, and help promote lesson programs.

Ideal candidates have teaching or tutoring experience, strong musicianship, and a commitment to student growth and customer service in a retail lesson environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student goals
• Assess and track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair services
• Promote lesson programs and help retain and grow student enrollment
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Manage lesson schedules, attendance, and basic student records
