Brass Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Brass Teacher to provide high-quality private and small group brass lessons in our retail store. In this role, you will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, develop individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for performances, auditions, and school band/orchestra participation. You will collaborate with store staff to support program growth, maintain accurate scheduling and progress records, and help create a welcoming, student-focused learning environment that reflects our mission of expanding access to music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small group brass lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and learning goals
• Prepare students for concerts, auditions, and school ensemble participation
• Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance, and student records
• Collaborate with store staff to grow the lesson program and support promotional events
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, student-focused learning environment in the store
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to support student success
