Job Overview
Join the Student Services team at Palm Beach State College as an Admissions Processing Representative. The role involves processing student admissions and registration documents, ensuring accuracy, and providing clerical support for the department. The position requires flexibility in schedule, including nights and weekends, and serves as a backup to other staff duties as needed.
Responsibilities- Process student admissions and registration documents in a timely manner.
- Enter new students into the appropriate admissions or enrollment records.
- Review and revise reports and documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Administer and interpret policies regarding student admission, re‑admission, and late registration.
- Process residency documentation and enter transcripts into admissions records.
- Type, edit, and manage forms, reports, memos, and correspondence using word processing programs.
- Set up, organize, and alphabetize files and records; maintain up‑to‑date file systems.
- Identify and track document completeness; log documents received and completed.
- Assist with other job‑related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some related experience in data entry or clerical support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or a comparable application suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time‑ and task‑management abilities.
- Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); must comply within 30days of employment.
- Reach, grasp, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Use a video display terminal and manual dexterity for fine motor tasks.
- Communicate information orally and in writing; proofread documents for accuracy.
- Work a fluctuating schedule, including nights, weekends, college closures, and extended hours during peak periods.
- Minimum base pay: $15.80 per hour, potential adjustments based on education and experience.
