Job DescriptionLandscape Designer | Lake Worth, FL
Avanti Strategic Group is recruiting a Landscape Designer for a landscaping company in Lake Worth, FL. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative side of design and the conversations that turn a customer’s ideas into a workable plan.
You’ll meet with customers, visit project sites, develop drawings and digital designs, and help refine plans as projects move forward. We’re looking for someone early in their design career who is comfortable getting out in the field and explaining their ideas to people.
What you’ll do
Meet with customers to learn how they want to use their outdoor space, understand their preferences, and ask questions that clarify their vision.
Visit sites to document existing conditions, take measurements, and identify design opportunities and practical constraints.
Create concept sketches, landscape plans, planting layouts, and visual presentations using hand-drawing and landscape design software.
Present design ideas to customers, listen to feedback, and revise plans accordingly.
Collaborate with the team to help translate approved designs into projects that can be installed.
Visit active projects as needed to answer design questions and observe how plans are taking shape.
RequirementsWhat we’re looking for
1–2 years of experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, or a closely related role.
Strong drawing and visual communication skills, including the ability to develop clear landscape plans.
Experience with landscape design or architectural drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Landscape Architect Software, Sketch Up, Vectorworks, or comparable tools.
Strong people skills and confidence speaking directly with customers about their needs and design preferences.
Clear spoken and written English communication for customer meetings, presentations, and project documentation.
Comfort working both at a desk and outdoors during site visits.
A portfolio or examples of sketches, plans, renderings, or completed design work.
Experience with South Florida plants and landscape materials is a plus.
