Role Summary
Assistant as a Certified College Practitioner (CCP) Instructor in the Marine Service Technology program responsible for delivering classroom instruction, lab work, and program administration.
Responsibilities- Instruction of Marine Service Technology courses as per published course materials.
- Assessment and evaluation of student performance; maintain grade reports.
- Development of assessment instruments, supplemental materials, and testing tools.
- Administration of final examinations following college procedures.
- Provide guidance and advisement to students on academic matters.
- Design and prepare curriculum materials.
- Deliver online training content to support classroom instruction.
- Recommend curriculum changes and best‑practice teaching strategies.
- Assist in development, evaluation, and procurement of lab and program resources.
- Perform basic lab equipment maintenance and ensure OSHA/safety compliance.
- Document inventory needs and coordinate resources with course syllabus.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by program leadership.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or in CTE education with marine field experience.
- Or Marine industry or military marine certification plus a minimum of two years field experience.
- Or ASE or ABYC certifications with at least two years field experience.
- Or a minimum of eight years field experience in marine service.
- Or a recognized Diesel, Automotive, or Marine license/certification with at least five years of field and teaching experience.
- EPA
609 certification required. - Minimum 10 years of field experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity applications.
- Strong attention to detail, effective time and task management, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom and operate the necessary equipment.
- Work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and multiple campuses.
- Regular physical attendance required.
