- Instruct college students according to educational theories and techniques
- Develop discipline-related curricula
- Assess student learning
- Participate in program evaluation and college activities
- Maintain college and department standards supporting the College’s mission and strategic plan
- Develop, maintain, interpret, and execute administrative procedures and practices
- Develop and maintain manuals regarding College policies, procedures, rules, and standards
- Analyze class and program needs and recommend course retention or deletion
- Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates
- Maintain and adjust scheduling calendars as necessary
- Assist students with program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Dietetics or Nutrition
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including evenings and weekends
- Attach official transcripts, college-stamped student copies, or non-web based unofficial transcripts; web-based student system transcripts will not be accepted
- U.S. degrees must be conferred by an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- Foreign degrees must be validated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member organization, with an evaluation report attached before the Final date to receive applications
- Ability to meet stated physical and communication demands
Demonstrates expertise in developing and implementing educational curricula in Dietetics or Nutrition, while effectively utilizing instructional technologies and maintaining academic standards. Strong ability to assess student learning and interact positively with diverse populations.
