Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or FNP) to provide integrated medical and psychiatric care for individuals recovering from substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders. In this role, you will work closely with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient stabilization, recovery, and long‑term wellness.

- Provide integrated care for patients with substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders in a structured inpatient treatment setting
- Collaborative environment with nursing, therapy, and clinical support staff focused on patient stabilization and recovery
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical exams, and psychiatric evaluations
- Diagnose and treat behavioral health conditions, including substance use and co‑occurring disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Prescribe and manage medications and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with approved protocols
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care
- Communicate patient status, treatment updates, and clinical recommendations to the Medical Director
- Participate in case reviews and treatment planning discussions
- Order diagnostic tests, review lab results, and coordinate referrals to medical specialists when needed
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Provide clinical information to Utilization Review teams to assist with determining appropriate levels of care
- Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARNP) license in Florida
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in addiction treatment or inpatient psychiatric care
- Experience treating substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team
