Store Associate FT

Job Purpose
This role is responsible for driving customer satisfaction and loyalty by delivering exceptional service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. It focuses on creating a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers by ensuring products are stocked and organized and areas are clean and inviting. By providing courteous, prompt service and supporting store initiatives, this role helps foster a friendly, welcoming, and Winning shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Provides continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers with a friendly smile.
  • Actively promotes store initiatives and promotions to increase customer engagement and sales, creating a Winning Shopping experience.
  • Stocks and rotates department products (Dairy, Frozen, Grocery, and Front End) to ensure freshness and date control; restocks and uses supply items efficiently to eliminate waste.
  • Operates department equipment and tools.
  • Keeps work areas clean, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness, organization, and safety is maintained, and reports faulty equipment and hazards to management.
  • Notifies management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
  • Works collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals and improve store performance.
  • Follows company policies and procedures regarding product handling, safety, and sanitation standards.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk on various types of flooring, utilize manual dexterity, talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet. The employee is frequently required to reach at waist level or overhead, carry, push, or lift various loads up to the required weights listed.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb up to 30 ft.

Working Conditions:

indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid conditions. Safety Risk Factors: twist back/neck, slippery/cluttered floors, hazardous equipment, sharp objects. May be exposed to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins. Equipment: cleaning supplies, general office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, and material handling equipment. Preferred Equipment: baler/compactor, box cutter. Personal Protective Equipment:
Goggles, Gloves, Back Brace. Pulling Requirement: 250 lbs. Lifting Requirement: 50 lbs.
