Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Lake Worth, FL offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $18.97 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  7:00 am to 3:30 pm;
  Monday through Friday

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Products handled include inbound items such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc. Equipment used: stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts and pallet jacks.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience
• Clean driving record; valid driver's license; personal vehicle and travel within the area 25–50% of the day
• Strong technical aptitude:
  Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, WMS system
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to input data into a computer system
• Ability to read, do basic math, and understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Work indoors and outdoors
• Ability to work overtime as assigned
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Read, interpret, and apply WMS order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Identify damaged product and take appropriate action
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders by carrier location and verify number of pallets and stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation, retaining product accountability throughout the process
• Follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures
• Train others in warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, housekeeping duties, and other duties as assigned
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery
