Position: Contract Analyst (Pharma)

Job Description

Pay Range: $34.26/hr - $39.26/hr

  • The Contract Analyst is responsible for creating, administering, and managing customer agreements within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
  • This role works cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Sales, and National Accounts teams to ensure accurate contract development, compliance, pricing management, reporting, and process improvement.
  • The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining confidentiality and sound business judgment.
Requirement/Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience administering contracts and customer agreements, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment.
Experience
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, hospital, or pharmacy products contractual terms and conditions is preferred.
  • Experience with customer agreements including GPO, IDN, hospital, or clinic contracting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, CLM, CRM, Qlik, and other database concepts is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Create and manage customer agreements for GPO, IDN, and complex key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams on contract development, administration, compliance, and reporting.
  • Develop, implement, administer, and maintain key contracts including contract eligibility and pricing.
  • Coordinate account contracts, amendments, new product offers, implementation, maintenance, eligibility, and review processes.
  • Manage pricing relationships across various contract types.
  • Support and execute contract strategies in collaboration with Sales and National Accounts teams.
  • Redline customer agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead RFI, RFP, and bid submissions.
  • Generate monthly customer and sales reports with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Conduct analysis to calculate customer rebates and penalties as outlined in agreements.
  • Manage and resolve customer pricing disputes.
  • Prepare and distribute ad hoc sales and management reports.
  • Develop and maintain content for Contracts and Pricing team training materials and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate and provide training to new hires and cross-functional partners.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Support cross-functional and contract marketing process improvements.
  • Complete all required departmental and compliance training.
  • Participate in additional work activities as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and programs related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.
