Job Summary

The Manager, Strategy Execution will provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Head of business unit Pharma. This unique role offers the opportunity to gain deep insights into strategic and operational priorities across a global Pharma business unit through hands‑on shadowing of business leaders. In addition to traditional executive assistant responsibilities, this position will act as a business partner – learning the organization by attending key meetings, participating in cross‑functional initiatives, and supporting project execution.

The Strategy Execution Manager plays a key role in enabling and coordinating strategic initiatives, executive‑level communications, and critical cross‑functional projects.

  • This position requires working onsite 3 days per week at one of our Chicagoland sites: either Melrose Park, IL, or Lake Zurich, IL.
  • Salary Range: $,000.
  • Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary.
  • Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Our benefits and programs are comprehensive and thoughtfully crafted to ensure our colleagues live healthy lives and have support when it matters most. Benefits offered include a 401(k) plan with company contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, employee assistance program, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage.
Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality presentations to support leadership communication and decision‑making.
  • Proactively manage and monitor critical initiatives, projects and tasks across Portfolio and R&D, ensuring timely execution and cross‑functional alignment within Pharma.
  • Provide hands‑on support for daily business operations, including research, short‑term analyses and project coordination.
  • Deliver targeted support for priority projects, ensuring measurable progress, and alignment with leadership goals.
  • Serve as a central point of contact to promote effective collaboration across departments, regions and teams.
  • Manage key analytics to generate insights and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Lead the development of essential management reports, including preparation for R&D and Portfolio business reviews.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual strategy plan preparation for the Pharma business unit.
  • Organize and facilitate leadership team meetings, including setting agendas, documenting discussions, and tracking action items to completion.
  • Attend local, national, and global meetings as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years' related experience (preferably in management consulting or in transformation programs in a B2B industry).
  • Previous project management experience required. PMP certification preferred.
  • Clear and effective communication, listening and presentation skills accompanied with strong critical thinking, problem resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit strong leadership presence by guiding cross‑functional efforts, shaping decisions, and driving execution through influence rather than direct supervisory authority.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other database/ERP concepts (i.e., SAP).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
Additional Information

We offer an excellent salary and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, disability, 401K with company contribution, and wellness program.
