Teradyne has an immediate need for a Lead Product Safety and Compliance Engineer at our office located in Deer Park, IL. This role will lead the day-to-day safety and EMC compliance activities for the Power Test Division.

+  Lead and manage product safety and EMC compliance activities across all Power Test Division projects.

+  Integrate with design teams to drive early risk assessment and pre-compliance work.

+  Coordinate internal and external testing events, including interfacing with certification suppliers, competent bodies, and test labs.

+  Ensure compliance with all appropriate safety and EMC-related regulations and standards, including CE, NRTL, SEMI, and others.

+  Conduct product safety analysis from circuit-level schematics/wiring diagrams to system-level designs.

+  Provide formal safety recommendations to engineering teams based on analysis.

+  Ensure continuing compliance by maintaining Test Reports, Constructional Data Forms (CDF), and Technical Construction Files (TCF).

+  Coordinate EMC pre-compliance and validation activities.

+  Benchmark and implement best practices for safety and EMC compliance.

+  Domestic and international travel may be required, up to 10%.

+  Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Master's degree preferred

+  10+ years of experience in product safety and compliance engineering

+  Previous experience leading teams is preferred

+  Strong understanding of IEC/EN 61010-1 standards

+  Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 and IEC 60825-1 standards (nice-to-have)

+  Basic understanding of EMC principles to communicate best practices and interface with test labs

+  Hands-on ability to perform product safety testing

+  Ability to troubleshoot EMC test failures and recommend design improvements, preferred

+  Strong project management and organizational skills

+  Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

+  Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive compliance initiatives to closure.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $141,400-$226,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan:
This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
