ECHO is hiring a Trainer in our production area!This individual will be responsible for training and developing the skills of production line workers. This role is crucial in ensuring that employees are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their tasks efficiently and in compliance with quality standards.

Starting at $17.50/HR

1st Shift M-F 6:30am - 2:45pm!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Train new employees on manufacturing processes, safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Train employees on assembly procedures, hand tools, air tools, and assembly fixtures.
  • Demonstrate proper assembly techniques while explaining the purpose of each production step.
  • Explain production challenges, best practices, and special assembly techniques.
  • Identify deviations from standard work procedures and provide corrective coaching.
  • Support new employees during their initial training to ensure a successful transition into production.
  • Monitor employee progress throughout the training period, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and confidence.
  • Conduct weekly evaluations with the Group Leader and provide feedback on employee performance.
  • Recommend whether trainees have successfully completed the training program.
  • Maintain training documentation and communicate employee progress with leadership.
  • Mentor and coach employees to promote continuous learning and development.
  • Perform production duties when training responsibilities are not required.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production assembly experience required.
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, or coaching employees preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience as a Production Trainer, Lead Assembler, Group Leader, or similar role.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality systems.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • May be required to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.
  • Regular exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks.
  • Safely operate hand tools, air tools, and production equipment.
  • Good visual acuity to inspect parts and identify quality defects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures.
