Doctrine And Strategic Guidance Instructor
Blue Force Inc. is seeking a Doctrine and Strategic Guidance Instructor in support of the United States Air Force Expeditionary Center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.
* Position is subject to contract award
* Specific duties include:
- Providing instruction and evaluations to students on Doctrine, Strategic/Regulatory Guidance, and Theory in the realm of National Security Strategy, Guidance for Development of the Force, applicable DoD and service specific regulations and instructions, Irregular Warfare, Building Partnership/Building Partnership Capacity, Security Force Assistance, Foreign Internal Defense, Stability Operations, Counterinsurgency, Counter terrorism, Theater Campaign Planning, etc.
- Teaching subjects such as, but not limited to Strategic Guidance for Air Advisors, Aviation Enterprise Development, Theater Guidance, Irregular Warfare Fundamentals, Insurgency Fundamentals, Counterinsurgency Fundamentals, Foreign Internal Defense, Systems Thinking, etc.
- Liaison with functional community's subject matter experts, including Air Force Geographic Component Commands and other functional commands, Headquarter Air Force (HAF), MAJCOMs, C-NAFs, other services, interagency, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations, as well as any other organizations to ensure curriculum remains relevant and current.
General tasks and responsibilities include:
- Meeting minimum USAF EOS Student and Qualified Instructor requirements at government expense and IAW EOS-established policy and contract.
- Serving as the focal point and SME in their respective discipline. When qualified, be prepared to assist and teach lessons in other disciplines as determined by the Site Manager.
- Providing technical support, planning, consultation, analysis and expert advice to establish, maintain, and improve their respective areas' instruction.
- Developing, updating, revising, and delivering their respective area's curriculum and courseware within USAF EOS-established policy.
- Ensuring the most current student education and training materials are used and are provided to each student at the beginning of each lesson, as required.
- Producing, assembling, and managing student materials as required to include paper and/or electronic (DVDs, etc.) based training materials provided by the Government.
- Preparing classroom for instruction and ensuring academic equipment, projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc., including uploading of computer-based training, if applicable, are functional.
- Beginning each lesson on time and teaching for the prescribed amount of time IAW the student schedule unless the COR authorizes a schedule deviation.
- Performing instruction/demonstration and student evaluations as required by the syllabi and lesson plan. Maintaining satisfactory or above on Government administered instructor evaluations.
- Reviewing learning objectives with students in preparation for examinations.
- Following USAF EOS-established policy for make-up/remedial instruction for missed classes or failed examinations.
- Attending meetings, conferences, and symposiums on topics related to their area of expertise and participating in instructor professional development.
- Being prepared to teach lessons as directed by the Site Manager to balance instructor workload and to meet mission requirements.
Qualifications include:
- Having a master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Having deployed as a Military Advisor, Political-Military (Pol-Mil) Affairs Strategists (PAS) Officer, Regional Affairs Strategists (RAS) Officer, Foreign Area Officer (FAO), Foreign Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) member, attaché or security assistance officer (SCO), or in a position equivalent to one of the above having military advisory experience.
- Having completed Air Command and Staff College, Senior NCO Academy, or sister school equivalent, in-residence or by correspondence.
- Having served on a DoD Major Command Staff or higher for at least two years.
- Being able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
