Position: MECHANICAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will coordinate technical planning and execution for multidisciplinary / cross-organizational team in addressing gaps in Support Equipment capability for the aircraft at all levels of maintenance.
* You will perform risk management analysis to eliminate or mitigate identified cost, schedule, performance, quality and system safety issues
* You will create requirements documentation, test plans, procedures, scenarios, and system designs for fleet support.
* You will analyze procedure or processes to identify areas for improvement.
* You will identify mechanical systems and equipment performance problems to provide direction on corrective actions.
* You will coordinate with aircraft program office Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Support Equipment team leadership on identification and prioritization of funding requirements. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
1. Providing technical ownership of SE projects, including designing, testing, fielding and/or in-service support of aviation support equipment.
2. Managing the engineering change process, utilizing innovative techniques/solutions and providing guidance to resolve configuration management issues.
3. Conducting Engineering Investigations and providing solutions to fleet support activities.
4. Generating Engineering Change Proposals and drafting Technical Directives for release to fleet activities to address support equipment performance, obsolescence and safety issues.
